Tag Rugby match report vs Bournebrook.

Another cold blustery day set the seen for our tag rugby game against Bournebrook. Straight from the first whistle Milverton shown their passing and support qualities on the ball scoring a few quick tries. Noticeable strong running from Harry Smith, Declan Wattis, Jordan Darlison and Henry Vyskocil set the tone for more tries to come.

Bournebrook rallied in the second half and began to fight back, but only to find Milverton had stepped up another gear and were way too strong for them. The final score Milverton 11 Bournebrook 7. There were fantastic first performances also from Macy Kalarai and Charlotte Pipe on the wing for Milverton.

Well done team

Football vs Bournebrook

Our under 9's travelled to a cold and blustery Bournebrook to take on their team. Our team selected from the Year 3 and 4 boys. Some good individual performances in the first half from Harvey Matkin in goal, Ammon and Roman however Milverton only managed to hit the back of the net following a super throw from Roman.

Some fine defensive plays from Ammon, Jacob, Harry and Barney pushed the Bournebrook team to the touchlines on numerous occasions and Milverton managed to make their clearances. Bournebrook rallied back and placed a shot in the bottom left of the Milverton goal making the honours even at half time.

A swift turn around put Milverton in the position of playing up the slope and on a boggy pitch found passing difficult. However after a great solo run Ammon had carried the ball for half of the pitch and crossed to 'birthday boy' William in the centre who slotted the second Milverton goal home. Then followed a tense 5 minutes of end to end football which could have easily seen either tem scoring, however the score remained at 2- 1 to Milverton. Well done boys!

Team - Ammon, Roman, Harvey, Thomas P, Thomas H, Jacob, Barney, William, Yash, Harry B.

Football Vs Nursery Hill

The Under 11 boys opened their league account with an outstanding performance against Nursery Hill. After continued pressure Henry Vyskocil slotted the first goal and some heroic goal keeping by Declan ensured that a well hit free kick stayed out. Further excellent contributions were made by Harry Smith and Suroop Johal during the first half. After a swift pep talk at half time Milverton continued to pile on the pressure and some fine interplay led to Milverton's second and third goals, again scored by Henry. A hat trick in the first league game, well done!! A superb start to the season well done team!!
